Kota had a great weekend in Summerland at the Skaha KC dog show at the end of August 2019. I am so proud of him. Kota's first weekend in the show ring as a Baby Puppy and he absolutely loved it...he was such a show-off. On Thursday night, he won Best Baby Puppy in Sweeps and then Best in Sweeps Runner Up (out of 26 dogs ranging from 3 to 18 months of age). On Saturday, Kota won Best Baby Puppy in breed and Best Baby Puppy in the Toy dog group. Kota then went on to win Best Baby Puppy in the Pug Club of Canada Regional Specialty. On Sunday, Kota won Best Baby Puppy in Breed and then went on to win First in Class (3 to 6 month) in the Peach of a Puppy Tournament.  Many thanks to Judges Kandi Kroonen, Jean Tremblay, Wayne Thompson and the Peach of a Puppy judging group for these very nice wins.

 

At 6-1/2 months of age, Kota earned his Canadian Championship in one weekend at the Elsie Murray KC dog show held November 8 to 11th, 2019 at Heritage Place in Chilliwack, BC. Kota was awarded BOB, BP, and BPG in Group all 4 days.  He also was awarded a Group Three and and Group Four.  Many thanks to Judges Marion Postgate, Jon Cole, Maribel Sy and Patricia Lanctot for Kota's great wins.

The weekend of November 23rd, I showed Kota at the Pug Club of Canada National Specialty held in Toronto, ON where he was competing with top pugs in Canada.  Kota was awarded Best of Winners, Best Puppy and Best Bred by in Specialty show under judge Mr. G. Whitfield and and was awarded Best in Specialty Sweepstakes under judge Ms. A. Fischer. Kota also was awarded Best Puppy in Breed in all 3 of the Aurora Kennel Club shows and earned his first Grand Champion points.

Kota is staying in Ontario to continue his show career under the loving care of his owner, Heidi Merkli.
